A website is an opportunity to put your best foot forward. Whether you run a small business, nonprofit organization, or campaign, your website will be the first impression for much of your audience. When I design a site, I like to keep some basic goals in mind. I believe a website should:

  • Be easy to load and navigate
  • Be easy to read
  • Be easy for you to manage and make updates
  • Be a natural and beautiful showcase of your brand
  • Serve a practical and functional purpose

If we can accomplish these goals, we will create a user experience that creates a lasting impression for your audience.

Your site will be fast and secure; it will perform across many different types of mobile devices. It will be optimized to be meet Google search engine best practices, and utilize modern development technologies like HTML5 and JavaScript. It will be visually appealing – you and your audience should enjoy just looking at it. But most importantly, your website will serve a purpose, whether that is fundraising, increasing sales, gathering email sign-ups and endorsements, or simply pushing your communications out.

Creating a site that visually reflects the uniqueness of your brand is important to me. When we begin the design process, I try to get to know your brand inside and out, to make sure your look, style, tone, and message is clear. If you’re not sure what you want, don’t fret. I’m capable of applying diligence and flourish to help your build something anew.

I do the heavy lifting when it comes to designing and editing your website. But in order for your organization to utilize it’s full potential, you’ll need a Content Management System (CMS) to publish news stories, add new visual media, All of my sites utilize WordPress, an industry standard CMS that is powerful and easy to use. This makes integrating your site with third-party vendors (such as MailChimp, ActBlue, NGP VAN,  PayPal, etc.) seamless.

Quick turnaround is important. You’ll be able to see the site as I develop it on a secure test server as soon as possible, allowing you to provide feedback and become accustomed to the new site early on.
